We are currently recruiting for a hands\u2011on and people\u2011focused HR Manager (HR, Health & Safety & Training) to support a growing, multi\u2011site building supply operation in Eastern Ontario. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing human resources leadership, practical health & safety oversight, and retail\u2011focused training, while working closely with ownership and leadership in a fast\u2011evolving environment.<\/div>\n

    What You’ll Do:<\/strong><\/div>\n
    Human Resources (Primary Focus)<\/strong><\/div>\n
      \n
    • Lead full\u2011cycle recruitment, interviews, and onboarding<\/li>\n
    • Maintain accurate employee files, HR records, and training documentation<\/li>\n
    • Support performance management, employee relations, and workplace issues<\/li>\n
    • Provide guidance on Ontario employment legislation and HR best practices<\/li>\n
    • Partner with leadership on discipline, investigations, and employee challenges <\/li>\n
    • Track key people metrics including turnover, safety incidents, and training hours<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
      Health & Safety<\/strong><\/div>\n
        \n
      • Maintain and update health & safety policies in compliance with Ontario OHSA<\/li>\n
      • Coordinate and support Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC) activities<\/li>\n
      • Conduct safety inspections, audits, incident reporting, and investigations<\/li>\n
      • Manage WSIB claims, return\u2011to\u2011work programs, and Ministry of Labour documentation<\/li>\n
      • Coordinate required training (WHMIS, Forklift, Working at Heights, First Aid, etc.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
        Training & Development<\/strong><\/div>\n
          \n
        • Design and deliver onboarding programs for new hires<\/li>\n
        • Coordinate product knowledge and vendor\u2011led training sessions<\/li>\n
        • Track training completion, certifications, and ongoing development<\/li>\n
        • Support staff engagement initiatives and community involvement activities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
          What We’re Looking For:<\/strong><\/div>\n
            \n
          • Post\u2011secondary education or formal training in Human Resources (Ontario\u2011based preferred)<\/li>\n
          • Experience in HR, workplace health & safety, and\/or training coordination<\/li>\n
          • Working knowledge of Ontario employment law and OHSA requirements<\/li>\n
          • JHSC certification (or willingness to complete)<\/li>\n
          • Intermediate First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)<\/li>\n
          • Strong organizational, communication, and relationship\u2011building skills<\/li>\n
          • Comfortable working across multiple locations<\/li>\n
          • Adaptable, people\u2011first mindset with interest in growing alongside the business<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
